It sounds like you guys have been having a great time! You go girl, good for you on running a race. I really want to find a race to run in, but I fear it will be a while. Even if there were on in the fall or winter if it's too cold I'll pass (I hate the cold).
I can't believe how long kyra's hair was wow! The cute is very cute.
And the picture of Ryder and Kyle is very cute. I love to see my two boys together also.

Well...what race, how far, how did you do. I am so obsessed with racing lately, I have to know all the details!

I interested in knowing how far you ran too. I ran two 5K races this summer. It was the best. I hope to run more races next year and eventually with time possibly a marathon.

K, so my race was an 8K (about 5 miles) beach run. It was so fun! Talk about beautiful scenery! It was really hard though for several reasons. When I signed up I imagined it would be on hard wet sand. Nope. The tide was coming in so there wasn't any room on the wet sand. So...we ran in the water, on the loose, dry sand (so hard!) and on the seaweed (very slippery).... so even though it was super fun and I'm so glad I did it, I probably won't choose that race to do again. Unless my husband runs with me or something, sure I'd do it again. It just isn't a race to try to set any records if you know what I mean. It took me about an hour. Super slow. The other things that slowed me down was the wicked strong Santa Ana winds and my knee bugged me the 2nd half after slipping in the seaweed and turning my ankles in the dry sand. It is better now though. So I definitely caught the race bug and am searching for another one to do. Luckily the weather here is BEAUTIFUL for year round running. The next one will be on regular land though! There, was that enough detail for you little D? :)
