Fishing and Dinosaurs

We got some fishin' in this weekend. Thanks to the all the lovely regulations this beautiful state offers, we were forced to fish on a certain day, in a certain spot, using certain fishing poles, with certain lures (yes, really) fishing the way the ranger made us. Thanks to the wonderful state feeding the fish regularly and the wonderful state making us use giant alien purple rubber lures, nobody caught a single fish. All the while we watched the fish swarming around us, wondering what that strange purple thing was. ALL. morning. long. The kids had a blast tho. They really perfected their casts. They wished to catch a fish of course, but to see them swimming around was cool at least and we promised to take XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I had to edit that part. Sorry, too offensive to all the Californians. But it made me feel better for a moment :)

Next, we went to visit the Pee Wee Herman dinosaurs. We hadn't been there since Ryder was a baby so we thought was time to revisit. The weirdest thing happened at the Burger King where we were eating lunch. It was practically empty besides us when a tour bus of Asian people came in. They were so excited to see us! They whipped out their cameras and were taking all kinds of pictures of our family, coming in close and getting pictures of the girls and then Cooper! They all were trying to make him smile and staring. It was so WEIRD! I guess they just flew into Palm Springs and stopped at the Burger King and we were the first American faces they saw? Or are we just totally freaky to the Chinese because we have four kids? Our kids were so confused. Anyway, the dinos were cool, as always.

Oh my gosh, the Asian thing is so weird. I mean, I can't blame them for wanting to capture such a cute family on film, but...really? Ryder is getting so big!!
